Custom packaging puts people off because the process is opaque — it is not obvious what you are supposed to provide, or what you are committing to when. It is simpler than it looks.
What a quote actually needs
Three things. The internal dimensions the box has to hold, given as length, width and height rather than as a description. The style and board you want. And the quantity, or a range if you are still deciding.
That is enough for a real price. Artwork is not required to start, which is the part most people do not realize — you can get a quote before you have a design.
If you do not know the size
Measure your tallest regular build, assembled, with the crown on, and send those three figures. If you wrap the burger before boxing it, measure it wrapped. If you would rather start from something standard and adjust, pick the nearest from burger boxes by size and say what is wrong with it.

Artwork
Design work is prepared for you at no charge, so a logo and a rough idea of the look are enough to begin. Vector files reproduce best; a reasonably large image will usually work. You will see the layout before anything is printed, and that is the point to change your mind — not after.
If you have no logo yet, colored stock with no print at all is a perfectly reasonable first order, and print can be added on the reorder. The options are under burger boxes by color.
Why the price on a product page is a starting point
Every run is printed to order rather than picked from stock. Setting up a press costs the same whether it produces a hundred boxes or a hundred thousand, so that setup is spread across the run — which is why the unit price falls as the quantity rises, and why a figure on a product page can only ever be where pricing starts.
It is also why there is a minimum. Below a certain run length the setup dominates the price and the boxes cost more per unit than they are worth to either of us.
What to check before you approve
Three things catch most problems. Check the internal dimensions against a real build, not against the number you remember. Check the artwork at the size it will actually print, because a logo that looks fine on screen can lose detail on uncoated board. Reordering
Once a run is printed the specification and artwork are held, so a repeat order is a quantity and a date rather than a fresh brief. That is also the natural point to extend the run length: if the design has proven itself, ordering more at once is the cheapest change you can make to your unit price.

A 3D mockup is a digital render of your box assembled, with the artwork wrapped around every panel. It shows how the logo lands across folds and edges, which a flat proof can hide. Mockups are free with every order, and they are the easiest point to catch a logo that ends up upside down on the lid.
Do proof revisions cost extra?
No. The 2D proofs, 3D mockups and design changes before approval are free. Use that stage to check spelling, colors, logo position and dimensions carefully. Changes are simple at proof stage; once production starts, the artwork is locked to your approved file.
Can I change my artwork after approving the proof?
Approval is the point production begins, so changes afterward are difficult and may not be possible once the board is printed. If you spot something right after approving, contact us immediately. The safest habit is to have a second person read the proof before you sign off, especially phone numbers and web addresses.
Do you ship custom burger boxes outside the US?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping within the US is free; for international orders, include the delivery country with your quote request so the price reflects it. Allow for customs clearance on top of production time, and plan reorders earlier than a US customer would.
What is a dieline for a burger box?
A dieline is the flat template of the box showing every cut, fold and glue line, with the print area mapped onto it. It is what turns your logo into a print-ready file.
